APWWS thanks Khandu & Rebia for constitution of 5th body of APSCW

APWWS) on Saturday thanked the State Government for constituting the 5th body of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW).

The Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) on Saturday thanked the State Government for constituting the 5th body of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) on December 26 last which  will commence their job profile from Monday next.

In a press conference held at Press Club, AAWWS president Dipti Bengia Tadar  thanked Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Nabam Rebia, Minister Women and Child Development for keeping their promise to appoint genuine candidates who are interested to do best for the society.

We are also grateful to those sisters who heard the call to constitute the Commission.  With these new appointees we will once again start functioning like before giving first priority to pending cases, Dipti expressed.

Terming it as ‘Victory of Women Power’, Gumri Ringu, AAWWS spokesperson expressed her gratitude to Chief Secretary, cabinet decisions, political parties, women for their support during their trial period. She also stated that majority of the appointees are from legal background which will be of great help while delivering justice to the victim.

Secreatry General, Kani Nada Maling informed that the candidates has been appointed based on the empanelled list, while contently adding that the announcement as a ‘New Years Gift’. She meanwhile expressed gratitude to Women & Child Development Secretary Gamli Padu for assisting in following the procedure of appointing the candidate with proper norms.

Vice President, Tojum Potom while express her satisfaction that after constitution of the Women Commission there were several cases related to women and others were lying pending to non hearing and no proper functioning would be taken on priority, so far as per information around 30 cases would be taken up and would be cleared and justice will be delivered soon. She also thanks all person, NGOs, media who have stood behind their democratic movement and struggle and supported them in getting justice.
