Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Kumar Waii inaugurated Women Police Station at Seppa in East Kameng dist.

The 2nd Women Police Station of the state after Itanagar, in Seppa of East Kameng district was inaugurated by the Minister of Home, Kumar Waii in the presence of Local MLA Tapuk Taku, DGP Arunachal Pradesh S B K Singh, and DIG West Issac Pertin.
The gathering was addressed the Home Minister Kumar Waii asked the police to perform their duty with utmost sincerity and also emphasised on the need of public police cooperation.
S B K Singh, DGP Arunachal Pradesh who emphasised the importance of women police station in context of sensitivity towards registration and investigation of crime against women. He also exhorted the policemen to work for the betterment of society with discipline and integrity.
The MLA Tapuk Taku also appreciated the launch of police station which is second in the whole of Arunachal Pradesh.
The DC, East Kameng distributed winter jackets to police personal as a kind gesture. A total of 250 winter jackets have been distributed to the police personnel.
The opening of this Women PS is a milestone in Women Safety of the region and represents the focus of department towards fighting Crime Against Women.
Total of 3 Women PS were announced to be opened in the Budget Speech by Chief Minister Pema Khandu. Out of these 3 PS, Itanagar and now Seppa have started functioning. The Women PS at Tezu will also be opened soon.
