5th state level Shotokan state Karate championship- SAI team emerge as champion

SAI emerged over championship while HQ, Naharlagun team runner up in 5th state level Shotokan state Karate championship held here concluded today.
Jhoney Mangkia emerged as best women fighter while Tachi Bagang from men, both are from SAI Naharlagun. In Katha SAI remain top as the medal winner were both from SAI of men and women. SAI were adjudged as best team while Upper Subansiri team satisfied to runner-up.
Deputy Commissioner West Kameng Dr. Sonal Swaroop today said that it s an opportunity that the Arunachal Karate Association (AKA) has been taking interest in nurturing the youths of state in the field of games and sports specially Karate.
While addressing the huge gathering of sports lovers and local public of Bhalukpong on the occasion of closing ceremony of the 5th State level Shotokan Karate-Do Championship at Bhalukong general ground Dr. Sworoop said that “failure is the pillar of success”, those who did not win need not to lose heart and practice more so that win will naturally there.
Karate is a weapon to stay fit, fine and smart, the sport is now known world over and our state is also doing well and brought laurel from across the state, country and world. She further said that the proposed Arunachal Olympic games would be held in September 2017 wherein the team from West Kameng will also participate and hope that a strong team may be formed. Appreciating the team of SAI for their marvellous performance and give them best of luck for the future and appeal them to work hard with sincerity so the recognisation and appreciation will always poured.
Local legislature Kumsi Sidisow wife Margaret Sidisow attended as special guest also appreciated the team spirit of the karatakas and give them best of luck for future.
