Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits Forward posts ALONG
The Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Wednesday undertook a tour of the forward post ALONG in Arunachal Pradesh .

The Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Wednesday undertook a tour of the forward areas in Dau- Delai and Lohit Valleys. She first overflew the forward most post of Rochcham near India – China border and thereafter visited Hayuliang.
At the forward post the defence minister celebrated Diwali, distributed sweets to the troops and wished them prosperity and happiness.
The minister appreciated the zeal, enthusiasm and dedication of the troops who are stationed in these high mountainous areas and ensuring the sanctity of Indian borders.
At Hayuliang, the minister also interacted and distributed sweets to local civilians and GREF personnel.
During the visit, the minister was accompanied by Lieutenant General M M Naravane AVSM, SM, VSM General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command and Lieutenant General Gopal R AVSM, SM General Officer Commanding Spear Corps.
