Twin city face unprecedented traffic jam owing to whistle down strike by ITW

Demanding enhancement of salary and regularisation of post in total 190 Itanagar Traffic Warden (ITW) on Monday has observed a complete whistle down strike at capital complex which resulted into heavy traffic congestion in twin capital city

When interact with the additional district magistrate (ADM) who is also Chief Traffic Warden Talo Potom weather demands of ITW will be consider or not, informed that there is no possibilities of job regularisation as during the appointment they were told about the terms and condition of master role.

Stating that due to ITW’s whistle down many commuters have faced a problems especially those who coming from other district to Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) office for availing the various forms, Talo further informed that since ITWs did not listen to the request made by the concern authority not to go for whistle down therefore they have to resign from their respective post. Subsequently, to regulate the traffic Itanagar Traffic police was deployed where there is a possibility of traffic congestion.

However, uniform in white (traffic warden) were stand in their respective place but they were not performing their duties while traffic were managed by the traffic police and IRBN and security personnel attached with ADM cum CEO. Even though the deployment was not sufficient and whole day the twin capital city face unprecedented traffic jam in almost all the NH-415 in city as well as arterial road of the city

Informing that traffic warden will resume their duty from Tuesday next, Byabang Abraham said that ITW has submitted a memorandum to concern authority for immediately fulfill the demand failing to address the demands will lead to second phase of democratic movement in form of 2 days whistle down strike.
