MD of Himalayan Holidays Tsering Wange who is also the President of Arunachal Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Association bagged the India Travel Award in a glittering function held in Hotel Radisson Blu Guwahati on 26th last. The trophy & the citation was presented to him by R Sudhan, Special Secretary Tourism Govt of Manipur & Arni Sapkal, Gladrag Mrs India 2017. 
Director of Indian Travel Awards Sanjeet while congratulating Wange stated that he is one of the tourism pioneers from North East who has been promoting tourism and adventure sports for the past two decades. He holds the title of first Indian ever to do the world’s highest sky jump and has the distinction of being the only person who made North East India Tourism presentation in New York, London, Amsterdam & Singapore which was co-hosted by Ministry of Tourism Govt of India. He has toured over 48 countries & regions around the world having participated in most of the world’s biggest tourism fairs, festivals & conferences to promote NE India Tourism abroad.
He further stated that the award is based on a unique system of jury judgment and voting received from 11 countries which finally culminated in a formal Black-Tie ceremony graced by the who’s who of the travel industry.
During the award acceptance speech Wange thanked the organizers for recognizing his contribution to the growth of travel & tourism in North East India. In the same breath he urged all the travel & tourism stalwarts present in the hall to visit, experience and promote the exotic North East region to the tourism generating markets around the world.
