Tawang: Missing student body found in semi-decompose condition

The body of missing student identified as Toko Yame (16) has reportedly found on Sunday around 3: PM at Biga bridge water fall near JNV campus Tawang, informed the police.  16 years old was student of class XII science at Govt Hr Sec School Tawang, he  was reportedly went missing after group clash broke out on 16th September evening involving students of Government Higher Secondary School Tawang and Jawaharlal Navodya Vidalya(JNV) Tawang. Late Toko has been remained untraceable for last eight days after the incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Tawang, G. Dajangju informed that body was found under semi-decomposed condition at Biga bridge water fall near JNV campus.

“We are sending body to Itanagar, as district hospital has no such facilities to conduct post mortem on semi-decomposed body” said DSP Dajangju.

It is reported that suspected accused were granted bail yesterday. On being asked about prospect of foul play, DSP stated that it can be ascertained only after the post mortem report. The police will act basing on the post mortem reports, because post mortem will ascertain the cause of death. Further DSP disclosed that location where body was found had already been searched several times by the search operation team.

Expressing shock at the incident, aggrieved family is suspecting of foul play, claiming that the place where body was found had searched several times both by the relatives and the district administration.  “The condition under my son body was found, it clearly appeared that it was planned murdered” said aggrieved father Koya Yame.

 “We have searched several times at the location from body was spotted but we didn’t find earlier. How come the body appeared all of sudden at same place” questioned father while demanding for CBI inquiry on entire incident to book the perpetrators.  He claimed that there were several cut mark on the body but due to semi-decompose many injuries marks couldn’t be seen.

 Aggrieved father later sought the Governor’s intervention to get justice for his late son and appealed the police department to carry out unbiased investigation.

Aggrieved by the incident, East Kameng Social Welfare and Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) and All East Kameng District Students Union deeply condoled at tragic incident of late Toko Yame.

In a press statement, the district parental organisation demanded the authority to investigate the incident thoroughly so that perpetrators could be   given exemplary punishment.  Condoling at loss of young student life, AEKDSU, strongly condemned the incident and urged the police department to act with utmost sincere and dedication to punish the culprits involved in tragic incident.
