The 6th District level U-17 football tournament “Subroto Mukherjee Cup” was kicked off on Thursday at Government Secondary School playground, Chimpu being organised by the Capital Complex Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) from Dec 21st onwards to Dec 22nd.

“The State Government and APFA are very adamant to boost football facility in the state and seeing through the time period standard of the game has improved a lot. However, to provide officials training to the players and to represent at the national level we need class-B licensed Coach, which is very expensive. As of now, there is only two class-c Coach in the capital complex.”
We are trying to replicate the football tactic of Mizoram which is best known tactics in India presently and Mizoram has done well in the Shantos cup and so on, as we have so many good potential players in every district which need proper guidance, informed Kipa.
APFA had opened a temporary centre for the players to practice and is yet to be residential; hoping that State Government will do some initiative for it, informed Kipa.
