Khandu was congratulated and welcomed in a befitting manner by the officials of the Bhawan led by Geetanjali Gupta, Resident Commissioner, along with the students and community members residing in Delhi when he arrived here last evening. He was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Chowna Mein. Member of Parliament, Shri Ninong Ering was also present in the occasion. The Chief Minister later proceeded to his office chamber where monks received him with chants of Manglacharan

East Siang

Initiated by the Siang Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh, residents of Pangin registered a new record. They came out voluntarily and restored power transmission line between Yembung and Pangin. It is worth to mention here that the Power department failed to restore the system for last three months due to paucity of government funds.  Praying serious attention, DC Singh had mobilized the people including, officers and staffs of various departments, local leaders and villagers had conducted a joint social service in the area. With the help of power department they erected two new poles without any financial assistance and made through the transmission line after hours of toiling. The DC while appreciating the people for their spirit asked them to unite all the time and assured to render all possible help to the power department officials to carry out their duties to mitigate the sufferings of the people.

Torrential rain has thrown life out of gear in many parts of Pasighat. Last few days of heavy downpour have submerged different parts of Pasighat Township despite the administration’s attempt to flush out the excess rainwater. Main market (Gandhi Chowk), many colonies, link roads are under water. Deputy Commissioner Isha Khosla accompanied by EE (PWD) and WRD, ATP & councilors (PMC), officers visited all affected locations and took stock of the situation on Friday.


The Speaker Arunachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly T.N Thongdok this morning flagged-off 02(two) 42- seater buses from APSTS Bus station Bomdila for Guwahati via Kalaktang with local MLA Japu Deru, DC Sonal Swaroop, General Manager Abu Tayeng and SP A Koan. Congratulating the people of the 5-Kalaktang assembly segment, Speaker Thongdok said that with the introduction of the buses the long felt demand of the local people has been fulfilled but cautioned that collective efforts from both the public and the department is needed for its upkeepment.


A meeting was held with Aalo Town Public Welfare and Development Society  (ATPWDS ) Public and HODs under the Chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Pige Ligu at the Conference Hall of DC Office Aalo on 21st July last, to take the stock of various issues put forth by ATPWDS and other problems raised by various organizations. In the meeting  various issues placed by the ATPWDS pertaining to repairing works of Aalo-Bam road on urgent basis, suitable land for establishment of General Hospital, regulation of vehicle parking places and unhealthy sale of beef meat and other issues concerning welfare of the people.


A District level meeting on grassroot planning of the Panchayat Bodies on conduction of Various programmes under DRDA was held at DCs Confetence Hall ,Hawai .Welcoming the initiative of the Anjaw DRDA , Smti H Tawsik Zilla Parishad  Chairperson Anjaw, in her presidential address ,called upon the Panchayati Raj delegates and Govt functionaries to walk hand in hand for sucess of various developemental programmes . She also called upon the Government to place sufficient funds for Performance Grants to performing panchayats. Deputy Commissioner Smti Mamata Riba  , highlighting the various policies of the Government  called   upon the gathering to adapt to digitail , public friendly services, for optimal benefit.

Pinki Karki partnering with Taring Yania representing the state in the ensuing All India Junior Badminton Tournament 2016 today enter into quarter final defeating All India ranking no 8 Eshita Raju K. & Sahithi Bandi of Telangana in the U-19 double event by 21-18,16-21 and 21-16 . Pinki & Yania is presently India’s ranking no 10 in U-19 event and shall face with India’s ranking no 1 shikha Gautham partnering with Mahima Agarwal fo karanataka at 1340 hrs at soroor Nagar Indoor stadium Hydrabad –Telangana.  Arunachal State Badminton Association(ASBA) Hony.
