Skill development is priorities of the Govt- Chowna Mein

Skill development is one of the priorities of the Govt and it is by skilling our youths we can make them self-dependent, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said during semi-final event of Arunachal Got Talent Season III at Nyokum Lapang Ground, Itanagar on Wednesday.

Mein informed the huge gathering turned out to witness the gala night which mainly consisted of youths that the state government has taken various initiatives to provide loans on subsidized rates to the educated youths to encourage local enterprise and to generate avenues for self-employment.

While congratulating the semi-finalists, Mein advised them to excel and be perfect in the talent or art they are gifted with naturally. Perfectness comes only with persistent practice and continued focus on your dream, he added.

He called upon the youths to remember that there is no shortcut to success.  Every successful person has gone through one or other kind of difficulties and has endured sufferings in their way.

He lauded the efforts of the organizers for providing a platform of Arunachal Got Talent to the young budding talents of the State to showcase their hidden potentials and for commemorating the heroism of Late Havildar Hangpan Dada and DSP late Bomto Kamdak by dedicating the event to felicitate and pay homage to the martyrs for their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

He said that they are the true martyr who, despite all odds, stood against the evil and valiantly fought the criminal forces till the end.

“The selfless sacrifice and courage shown by both, Dada and Kamdak will always keep on inspiring us and the generations to come for a long time. I salute their dedication, sacrifice and courage. They are the true son of this land and everlasting heroes of Arunachal Pradesh and the Nation,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.

Later, Dy CM Chowna Mein with the organisers handed over the citation and felicitated the family members of late Havildar Hangpan Dada and DSP late Bomto Kamdak.

The upcoming filmmaker from the state Duyu Tabyo presented a documentary film to Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein which has been written and directed by him on the life of chief minister of Nagaland T.R.Zeliang which was recently released in Nagaland.

The competition on Arunachal Got Talent Season III got more intense during the semi-final round and the live results show out of 26 performers of the season, 16 got sent home. It was tough for the 4 judges Amit Paul, Ken Riba, Tai Tugung and Toko Teji to choose the best out of the 26 competitors.

It was the D Squad, Siang Folk TGT, Dayum Apu, the little sensation from Bomdila Urgen Tsomo, Taro Yangda, Dawa & Dawa, Bake Joseph, Suraj Limbu, the Last crew and Gammi & Ritu are the ones who made it to the grand finale of AGT-III.

The audience reaction was palpable from standing ovations at the end of each show as the night event begun and folded with each performer paying a glowing tribute to the man in uniform. Most of the contestants gave a memorable performance of dance and music where some of the contestants left a spellbound audience in raptures while some maintained the high standards of the show, while the musical performance by K 4 Kekho and Amit Paul was an icing on the cake.
