Rijiju inaugurates RIWATCH

Kiren Riju, Hon’ble MoS, (Home) Government of India, Inaugurated RIWATCH ( Research Institution of World Ancient, Traditional, Culture & Heritage) Museum  here today.

Speaking on the event Kiren Riju, said that the RIWATCH museum is a live museum where cultural values of various tribes of state and N.E region can be exchange and do further documentation and research on it for preservation of age old cultural heritage. While briefing on the pace of social and cultural development process of our society and other societies all over the world, he warned that our Identity and cultural values should not be influence by western civilisation and modernisation. He also exhorted to shoulder responsibility to pass on the Traditional and cultural values to the next our generation and insist on strictness on some form tradition good practices and system.     He also insist for timely completion of  all centrally sponsor Schemes and urged for better co-ordination among the various department for speedy development process and informed that Central Government is committed for all round development of N.E region in general and Arunachal Pradesh in particular.

Dr. Mahesh Chai, also calls for preservation of cultural heritage and informed that as per UNESCO report there 32 languages in Arunachal Pradesh which are in the verge of extinction and informed that Government is initiating programme and policies to find out and to revived those minor and major tribes whose languages are at verge of extinction.

Dr. Joram Begi in his speech elaborated the importance and objectives of establishment of RIWATCH in the region and call for cooperation in bringing up the Museum for preservation of various tribes Cultural values. He also appreciated all the donors and other Government agencies for their supports and cooperation for establishment model research centre.
