RGU signs MOU with Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic

The RGU VC termed the inking of the MOU very historic and a welcome step towards achieving academic heights on mutually benefitting parameters for the two nations.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Rono Hills, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, India and Brno University of Technology, Brno, Jihomoravskykraj, Czech Republic for the collaborative researches in scientific issues of natural, engineering, and technical sciences as well as for research and student exchange programmes of faculty and students of both the universities in an academically mutually benefitting way towards establishing and foster scientific international communities.

The MOU was signed in presence of the Rajiv Gandhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha on October 22, 2019 at Rono Hills by Prof. Tomo Riba, the Registrar in-charge of RGU and Prof. Petr Stepanek, the Rector of Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic. Prof. PK Kalita, the Dean faculty of Basic Sciences and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, Head, Department of Physics RGU signed representing Rajiv Gandhi University as witnesses, while Dr. Karel Katovsky and Dr. Jindrich Adam, both from the Department of Electrical Power Engineering, Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic signed the MOU document representing the Brno University of Technology. The MOU aims at providing new avenues for access, sharing and developing technical knowhow between the two varsities initially for the next five years.

Earlier, the Joint Registrar (Academic) of RGU Dr. David Pertin while presenting the MOU mentioned that the joint venture will be academically very viable especially in terms of exchange avenues for students, academic fraternity and researchers alike, wherein any registered students or researchers of either of the varsities could get enrolment for a period of one semester and get benefitted immensely.

Among others, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of RGU Prof. Amitava Mitra, Finance Officer in-charge of RGU Prof. Otem Padung, COE in-charge of RGU Dr. N.T. Jose, Visiting Professor to Department of Physics of RGU Prof. Vinod Kumar from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur witnessed the signing of the MOU.
