RENGGING Could be Develop as Tourist Hotspot – MLA Kaling Moyong

Rengging, only 15kms away from Pasighat is one of the best places of East Siang for nature lovers and could attract domestic and international tourists for its scenic beauty, adventure like white river rafting and angling etc. The place could be developed as tourism hotspot playing leading role to showcase the colorful and unique culture of Adis towards promotion of tourism,” opined the
Pasighat MLA Kaling Moyong while addressing in a public meeting here today.

pasighat-2Moyong assured that road connectivity, health and education would be given priorities. Responding to a memorandum submitted by the ASM Durga Paron, the MLA admitted that Sirpo water source could mitigate water and power crisis of the century old town Pasighat setting up micro hydel. Central Range DIGP John Nehlaia advised the villagers to be hospitable and maintain indigenous culture and traditions to attract tourists. Outsiders would prefer virgin Himalayan beauty and local cuisines.

pasighat--3Earlier in the morning a massive plantation drive was organized by Renaissance Society in collaboration with Rengging Angong Society(RAS) and Roi Anne Self Help Group and fifty saplings were planted by MLA Moyong, DIGP Nehlaia, Mondal President Obit Tamuk, ASM Durga Paron, RAS President Tau Tamuk, senior citizens and villagers. Both the dignitaries advised the villagers to take proper care of the planted trees. It worth to mention here that two minutes silence was observed by the gathering after receiving information of sudden demise of former CM Kalikho Pul.

One day before on Monday, a social service was also conducted organized by the above NGOs where thirty students from the Rengging UPS took part and had cleaned the areas under Swachch Bharat Mission.
