Red Cross must be revived at the earliest- Guv P B Acharya

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh,  P B Acharya in a high- level meeting chaired by him,  emphasised that Red Cross must be revived at the earliest. In related to Blood Donations, the State Government has waived off the blood transfusion charges on the initiative of the Governor.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Education Minister Honchun Ngamdam, Parliamentary Secretary (Sports) Nyamar Karbak, Chief Secretary Smt Shakuntala D. Gamlin, Principal Secretary (Home)  Satya Gopal were present in the meeting amongst others.

Important issues pertaining to overall development of the State were taken up in the meeting. Formation of Rajya Sainik Board and revival of Red Cross Society in the State, issues related to blood donation, Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board, Health and Family Welfare and Education were discussed at length.

Sharing his observations during the tour to Upper and Lower Subansiri, the Governor brought out the deplorable conditions of schools in the interior parts of the State.
