Pul Visits NEIGRIHMS and meets Arunachali patients

Chief Minister Kalikho Pul today visited NEIGRIHMS and met the injured victim of the May 2 Tawang police firing.

Thirty-three-year-old Tenzing Wangdi, who suffered bone fracture after hit by the bullet shrapnel is reportedly in state of shock. The doctors have further referred for institutionalized psychiatric care, possibly at Tezpur mental health institution.

The Chief Minister offered hugs and words of sympathy and care for Wangdi who kept worrying about his 2 sons and 1 daughter back home.

He kept crying profusely as the CM kept consoling him. The Chief Minister assured that he would take care of his children and assured all financial support.

He donated Rs 2 lakhs from his personal source for the treatment of Wangdi and promised to bear all treatment cost until fully recovered. The CM had earlier handed over ex-gratia relief of Rs 6 lakhs and additional Rs 1 lakh from personal source for all injured victims of Tawang firing.

The Chief Minister during the visit also met other critical patients from Arunachal being treated at the NEIGRIHMS.

He met 10-year-old Sabhasa Yangfo, from Seppa who suffers from a bone fracture in his left leg acquired since from birth. This has resulted in shortening of the bone making him unable to walk.

The Chief Minister donated Rs 1 lakh from his personal expenses for the treatment expenses and asked the boy’s father to apply for relief from the government. The CM assured that the government would extend all financial help in surgery for his leg bones to grow taller.

The Chief Minister also met 60-year-old Yaari la from Daporijo who was in a state of coma. She had suffered brain hemorrhage and was undergoing treatment here in the institute.

With no further hope for cure, the family had decided to take her back to Arunachal. For their onward journey, the Chief Minister donated Rs 1 lakh from his pocket expenses and asked the staffs of the ambulance on hire to take full care of the patient.

Further the Chief Minister donated Rs 50,000 through his personal expenses for 55-year-old patient Habung Pusang undergoing heart treatment at NEIGRIHMS. The CM assured all help for fully recovery of the patient and asked to submit all relevant papers to avail the CM relief fund for treatment expenses.

 The Chief Minister met another heart patient, 35-year-old Gollo Kaha and handed Rs 50000 from his personal source for his treatment. The CM also asked them to apply for CM relief fund for any further financial assistance and assured to fully help in the patient’s complete recovery.

 Continuing with his visit spree, the CM met 15-year-old girl Tsering Lamu of Tawang undergoing heart treatment. Examining the critical condition of the patient, the CM donated Rs 1 lakh from his personal source for the treatment expenses with assurance to help further for her complete recovery.

The Chief Minister also met 50-year-old Tarh Yajik suffering from gall bladder cancer and donated Rs 1 lakh for her treatment. He further assured to help in all her treatment for her to fully recover. The CM also asked the relatives to apply for CM relief fund for further treatment expenses.

For 23-year old boy Bomsulum Yomblong, undergoing treatment for urinal complications and acute anemia, the Chief Minister donated Rs 1 lakh from his personal expenses.

The CM also donated Rs 50000 from his personal expenses for the treatment of 72-year-old Pem D Khrimey also suffering from urinal complications.

Earlier the Chief Minister met the doctors from Arunachal serving in NEIGRIHMS and interacted about their services in the institute. He also discussed with them ways to improve health services in Arunachal. The CM also assured to absorb all specialists from Arunachal into government services in the state.
