Old Assembly campus will be converted into academic block

The old Assembly building premises will be converted into the academic and the construction work will be started in this month.

Itanagar Capital Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan after inspecting all the proposed area of Tamo Riba Institute of Medical Science (TRIMS) Naharlagun along with Director (Medical Education, Research & Training) Dr. Moji Jini, Jt. Director Dr. R. Doye, DLRSO I/C EAC L Koyu, Naharlagun EAC H. Karga, Construction agency M/S Kenge Construction Company Proprietor Ha Tatu and other officials of Medical Education Directorate and TRIMS  accompanied the DC and visited all the sites which include the old Assembly building campus, old EAC office campus, Consumer Redressal court campus, Directorate of Health Services, IPR, Labour commissioner office campus, APST station campus, Police MT and staffs quarters of Police department.

After inspection Dhawan said that the old assembly building area will turn into the academic block of the TRIMS, readymade Library hall is available in the campus. He said that there are some minor encroachment which need to be evicted. Few area have been under occupation of police  Housing Department and District administration will request the Police department to relocated their utility. The district administration will help the Medical Education for clearing the encroachment and vacated premises for the proposed institution. The construction will started in vacant space in this month.

Dhawn said that the team of DLRO will start demarcating the total area of TRIMS from tomorrow, the Lumar Dai road also need to widened from both side.

When asked about the festival celebration ground located at Art & Culture department campus and Rajiv Gandhi Stadium as there is only one celebration ground and only play ground, Dhawan said that the people have valid concern and the area is green space which hall be shared by people and TRIMS as well.
