Nyohai Wangjen qualified for the National level Science Seminar 2016

Miss Nyohai Wangjen (class IX) of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Girls School, Khonsa, District Tirap, Arunachal Pradesh qualified for the National level Science Seminar 2016 after topping at the State level held at Itanagar on 28th August 2015.

Further, she represented the State at the National level Science Seminar 2016 held at the Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai  on 04th Oct. 2016. The topic was: Pulses for Sustainable Food Security:  Prospects & Challenges. About 25 states and 08 Union territories participated  at the National level. She brought laurels to the state by standing second at the National level,  first being Tripura. Her presentation was highly appreciated. She received a certificate, citation, and a cheque for Rs.12,000/- besides receiving a Golden Pass for lifetime visit to the Nehru Science Centre free of cost.

On the occasion, as  a part of the cultural function, she also presented a  slide show on the tradition &  culture  of Arunachal Pradesh in the traditional attire. It is needless to mention that the R.K. Sarada Mission at Khonsa has been performing brilliantly in the board examinations conducted by the CBSE over the years. Apart from that the students of the school have brought laurels to the school, the district and the state in Science Seminars and other co-curricular activities held at the National Level. The Deputy Commissioner Ravi Jha, has congratulated the bright student Miss. Nyohai Wangjen and her teachers on her stupendous success and hoped that other students from both government and private institutions would emulate her shining example.
