NES School adoption for GHSS Sagalee formally launched

Tolum, in his presidential address appreciated the initiatives of the School Management Committee (SMC) led by ADC, Sagalee and asked her to intensify the initiative for imparting quality education.

The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) school adoption of GHSS Sagalee for Ppaum Pare district was formally launched jointly by Bengia Tolum, President, NES and former Chief minister and Sagalee local MLA, Nabam Tuki amidst the presence of huge gathering on Saturday.

Tolum, in his presidential address appreciated the initiatives of the School Management Committee (SMC) led by ADC, Sagalee and asked her to intensify the initiative for imparting quality education.

He allay the apprehension of the general public that NES will start funding for the adopted schools and reiterated that NES will only be a motivator for the adopted schools, not a funding authority.

He informed that internal competition among the NES adopted schools would be made, where the best performing school, school administrators, teachers and students shall be honored and felicitated during the NES annual academic award function

Former chief Minister and Sagalee local MLA Nabam Tuki in his address extended  to the NES on behalf of the people of Sagalee for choosing & adopting GHSS, Sagalee among so many schools in Papum Pare district.

He recalled and remembered the past contribution of the teachers of past and present, who immensely contributed towards the growth of education in Sagalee area for furthering the socio-economic development of the society.

He appealed the NES to study in detail for bringing up reformation in the education sector starting from the recruitment, training and learning process till choosing of professions according to the individual skills of the students.

NES General Secretary Heri Maring, briefly highlighted the objectives, modalities and purpose of the school adoption and guidelines for the adopted schools.

Sagalee ADC, Somcha Lowang, NES Secretary and Papum Pare district Incharge Techi Tukap, Senior citizen, Nabam Tam among other also address the gathering.

Earlier NES team led by Bengia Tolum and Nabam Tuki, inspected the girls and boys hostel to have firsthand information of the existing school infrastructure and academic ambience. Debia Lalum, Vice Chairperson, SMC, GHSS, Sagalee explained and gave a detailed account of the present status of the school.

NES central executive member, District Unit, NES, All Sagalee Employees Forum (ASEF) executive member, executive members of ANSU, ANYA, HoDs, Officers, intellectuals, social workers, students, GBs, panchayat leaders and general public at Sagalee among others were present on the occasion.

On the occasion, the Papum Pare unit, NES has donated 04 (Four) sets of computers to the NES adopted GHSS, Sagalee.
