National Archery Gold Medalist Anjali Brahma seeks govt help

A National Gold Medalist  Archery player Anjali Brahma has been urging the State Govt., BTC authority and authority of sports to extend help her to continue archery games because Anjali Brahma’s situation compel her to discontinue playing archery games due to poor family background. Anjali  is resident of Chotto Gendrabil,  only 3 Kms away  from the head quarter of BTC Kokrajhar main town.

Anjali Brahma won total 36 medals, 18 gold medals, 8 silver and 10 bronze and brought fame for India, Assam and BTC by playing archery games in various states like Delhi, Chatisgar, Jharkand, Joypur, MP Bhopal, Meghalaya, Aurangabad, AP and etc.    She started her career in 2007 from Kokrajhar SAI.

Talking to reporters, Anjali Brahma said that due to poor financial condition of the family she could not continue her playing archery game from 2014 onwards and situation compels her to discontinue the games.

She said that I played national games of archery in various states like Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jharkand, Jaipur, MP Bhopal, Meghalaya, Aurangabad and won the total of 36 medals and out of 36 medals  11 medals were in  archery national games 4 gold medals and 6 were silver and bronze.

Brahma said that she won 3 gold medals at 20th Sahara Senior Indian Round national archery championship 2012-2013 at Chhattisgarh and one gold at Meghalaya and also won silver in 34th National Games 2011 at Jharkand,

She said that after 20th Sahara Senior Indian Round national archery championship 2012-2013 at Chhattisgarh she was got chance to appeared interview in CRPF job at Delhi and cleared all interview and said her name was top list but during appointment time call letter was not received and she tried a lot for job here BTC too but all approached was not bring positive result that is why she left playing archery games.

She said that her father was supporting while playing archery game and need to participate at national games in different state by taking loan and interest loan from people still my father has to repay money which he spent in my expenses.

Brahma also said that if Govt. of Assam, BTC Govt. and authority of sport provide her a job then she can play and she has confidence that she will able to bring more gold medals to national, Assam and BTC region and she can look after her family too.

Nirendra Basumatary villager as well as famous footballer of the Chotto Gendrabill urged the Central govt, state govt and BTC administration to help in providing job to the talented player and she will able to bring more gold medals and shine for nation , Assam and BTC because she is talented archery player and Brahma has potential.

He said that Anjali Brahma, Birbol Brahma and Birful Brahma all sister and brothers use to play archery from their family even though their family is very poor condition but now all they are not able to continue archery games due to financial problems if Govt of Assam and BTC authority help her then she will be able to play and believe that she will get chance like Buli Basumatary Chirang and Gohela Boro in Kokrajhar.

Anjali Brahma could not complete her Higher secondary final examination and her father is daily labourer works and looking after their family.
