Capital Police make a breakthrough in the A Sector Shot out case within a day and arrested two accused with a huge catch of arms and ammunition.
Interacting, with media here at Naharlagun police station capital SP Dr. A Kaon inform that two accuse of Thursday shooting incident at A Sector, Naharlagun had been arrested by Naharlagun police team under supervision of Naharlagun police station OC Nikum Riba .
Two youths injured and narrowly-escaped death after firing eight bullets into their vehicle . The incident took place at Naharlagun near Hotel Tosum. The victims have been identified as Yowa Karda and Nikh Vicky, and Asieng Shayam residents of Naharlagun.
Reportedly, one of the bullet hit Karda and he had been operated today at TRIMHS and remove it. However, all victims are safe . Karda is the son of retired senior bureaucrat Yowa Takar, while Vicky is son of Bordumsa MLA, Nikh Kamin he added.
The accused had been identified Rima Tallong (26 ) 4th IRBn hailing from Tallong Village and other is Agam Langi (20) village Langi of East Kameng District , Both of them had been arrested by police from their privet residents Papu Nallah , Naharlagun on 11.30 pm on Thursday .
After FIR by Yowa Karda , a case has been registered at Naharlagun police Station no 99/17 under section 341/323/307/34 IPC R/W section 27 of Arms act. Police team came to active and during investigation police team found that 8 round had been fired in incident, six hold had been found at vehicle and five 9 mm empty cartridge had been recovered from the scene. and Sp also said that 9 mm cartridge are allowed to used only to security force.
So police team started checking, with guidance of DGP Sandeep Goel, IGP N Payeng and found that two gun and many cartridge missing from Police Training Center (PTC) Banderdewa and following the information from various engaged sources and co-ordination with Principal PTC. And came to know that a Glock Pistol, around 80 rounds of 9 mm and one .38 revolver was missing and on tally with various records police team zeroed in the suspect Rima Tallong Irbn constable serving as sentry duty at PTC Banderdewa. A case at Banderdewa PS have also been registered vide case no-16/17 u/s-381 IPC .
And Tallong location was traced out and a team led by SI S.S Jha, SI G.Basar and SI T.Tali under supervision of OC Naharlagun inspector Nikom Riba and SP City Dr A.Koan conducted raids at the residence of Rima Tallang at Papunallah and arrested him and his possession one Glock Pistol, 2 glock magazines, 110 rounds of 9 mm , One .38 revolver, one 12 bore rifle, 3 round 7.65, 3 nos of 12 bore cartridge, 2 nos of AK 47 bullets, One knife, One holster, a barrel cleaner, 12 bore holster 1 no, Barrel cleaner, .22 3 rounds, a mask recovered.
When interrogate Tallong its able spot his other accomplice Agam Langhi and was also arrested from Papunallah. Sp added.
SP also said that they are planning to some loots and planning to score/revenge with some one.
The firing incident happened when three youths were returning home in their car when a scooter without registration with two riders started riding dangerously in front of their vehicle.
“The youths overtook the scooter and were going ahead, when the scooter suddenly intercepted their vehicle and forced them to stop. After that, a heated argument broke out, followed by a physical fight. One of the riders took out a pistol from the scooter’s locker and indiscriminately started firing,” informed SP.
When asked about recover of so many arm and ammunition in capital Sp said we have been checking and have constituted check nakas in various parts of capital complex, moreover there have been restriction of issue of arm license, we use to check aril licensees too from time to time.
This incident erupted after overtaking and a scuffles and of a moment and not planned as per their statement sp added.
When asked about the system in breakthrough SP said that The arrest was a team work of five team constituted unlike precious few case of capital. The success was due to putting all efforts together and we get the success.
