Khonsa- Guv PB Acharya participates in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Padmanabha Acharya on Wednesday participated in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Khonsa jointly organised by department of UD.
On this occasion the Governor read out pledge for “Clean India” which was followed by all the denizen of Khonsa at Bazar Taxi stand .
The governor also leads sweeping with broom around Khonsa bazaar which was accompanied by Tirap MLAs, Ex-Minister, Tirap DC, ZPC, SP, HoDs, Women Association from different places, PRIs, Business community, Government employees, students, Students Union.
In his welcome addressed Tirap DC Phungsuk Norbu Thungon highlighted the importance of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and later Tirap ADC Techu Aran, distributed Dustbin to Schools, Khonsa Bazar Welfare Committee, Martyr Hangpan Dada Memorial Children Park and Police Station, Khonsa mark the programme.
Earlier on 29th August, 2017, Tirapians accorded warm welcomed to His Excellency the Governor of A.P. Padmanabha Acharya at Assam Rifles Guest house by Tirap Leaders and General Public at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Auditorium, Khonsa.
The public memorandum on behalf of Tirap was submitted by Hangliam Sumnyan, memorandum on behalf of NSU “Nocte Students Union” was submitted by Mowang Kamhua and memorandum from SSA was submitted by Tesah Tangjang.
Soon after public meeting held at GHSS, Khonsa, HE visited RKSM, Khonsa wherein he interacted with the children and had witnessed beautiful cultural items.
Later in the evening, HE Guv met with HoDs, Smti Chasen Dada, NGOs leader.
