Khandu announces Arunachal Idol, Arunachal’s Got Talent, Miss Arunachal and Mr Arunachal contest a calendar event

Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced to make Arunachal Idol, Arunachal’s Got Talent, Miss Arunachal and Mr Arunachal contest a calendar event.  He said the state government will fully support these events so to give talented youths a platform and an opportunity to showcase their talents.

The announcement was made during grand finale of 3rd edition of Arunachal’s Got Talent (AGT) here at Indira Gandhi Park on Thursday evening. 10 finalists performed in the finale who were selected from thousands of contestants from across the districts in Arunachal.

The Chief Minister recalled his role in the initial days of AGT for which he had contributed Rs 10 lakhs for conduct of the event. This was raised to Rs 25 lakhs for the current season, he said and assured further support of the state govt.

He said every individual has unique talent of their own; only they need is a push and an opportunity to showcase their talent. He congratulated the organiser of the event for motivating the youths by giving them a platform.

At the end of the event, the Chief Minister gave away cash prize of Rs 3 lakhs to the winner of the AGT contest, which was won by D-Squad from Lohit district. He also gave away cash prize of Rs 1 lakh to Urgen Tshomu of Dirang who was adjudged the first runner-up. The second runner up was won by ‘Dawa & Dawa’ and ‘Gamni & Ritu’ carrying away cash prize of Rs 70,000 each.

AAPSU team members led by President Hawa Bagang and General Secretary Tobom Dai also attended the event. Former NESO Secretary Gumjum Haider also attended the event. Stand-up Comedian Kiku Sharda well known as Baccha Yadav attended as Celebrity guest.
