Kendriya Vidyalaya Celebrates Grand parents day

Kendriya Vidyalaya NO-II located at Chimpu today observed Grand Parents day in its school campus in befitting manner.

The day long programme included  recreation, cultural programme, fancy dress competition, traditional dress walking, discussion on pollution, cleanness obey of traffic rule for safety and others with grand parents of the students of Class-I to Class-V. It was a very interesting and first of its kind in the school wherein the grand parents interacted with the small children whom they do not know about their father and mother and discussed about the social behaviours and maintaining of the family relationship with the parents and other members of the family. There are 650 students from Class-I to Class-V in KV-II in the current year.

 

KV-II Principal G.D.Mena addressing the students and grand parents said that it is a rare opportunity for us to organised such a event wherein the grand parents of a child interact with children of other and tech them a social behaviours and relationship and way of living. Such programme bring some closeness among the people of all community as school is an institution and place of temple where everyone come to learn and will go to serve. The grand parents who have come to school need to understand that the social behaviour among the children and grand children’s makes them closer and the grand children will know many things of the paste and history which they may never learn from the teachers at School and parents at home.

He said that ‘charity began at home’ and appeal the grand parents to love and teach the children of proper behaviours with family members and respect elders so that everyone may give an take respect and love.

Vice Principal Dr. B. Saha, class teachers and few grand parents also spoke on the occasion and thanks the school authority for organising such event which unite the grand parents of students at the temple of learning which strengthened the relationship with school family.
