Landslide triggered by heavy downpour have created untold suffering to the citizens of Itanagar capital complex.

Portion of several arterial roads of capital complex and other parts of Papum Pare district and sate have been severely damaged and the transportation and communication sector have been badly affected. Dozens of dwelling houses either have washed away or damaged in several parts of state

The landslide near SRPL near PHQ at Chandanagar was blockage the National Highway-415 early this morning due to which hundreds of school students could not attend to their school.

The culvert near Pagatara on Papu Nallah-Itanagar road via Jullang is also got filled with mud and due to which the traffic movement have also been affected. The main road of National Highway-415 between Itanagar-Naharlagun also got blockage and the traffic movement was also affected since morning as the rain water was overflowing on the road and the traffic movement was also affected.

Report from Banderdewa said that seven span of 11 KV line passing from Thana Nallah to Dolikota village in Banderdewa have been disrupted and the department staffs engaged informed that it may take few days for proper restoration

Report from nearest town Doimukh said that the Pare river is flowing with a huge volume of water and the nearby resident located on the both bank of the river is severely threatened. Several dwelling houses have also been damaged. A portion of PMGSY road leading to Lekha, Tomru and Rose village  have also been damaged. several family members nearby a Revival Church have left their home due to fear from the fury of the Pare river.
