Itanagar: Tarh Nachung Inaugurates Dree festival, food stalls

Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) former Deputy chief Councillor Tarh Nachung  today Inaugurated the food stalls  of Dree festival here today at Dree ground Papu Nallah. With this the five days Dree festival is also kick off.

The festival is being organised by the Capital Complex Dree  Festival Celebration Committee (CCDFCC)

On the occasion Nachung wishes the peace and prosperity to the people of Apatani community and he also express his happiness to inaugurating the food stalls of the Dree festival, which will be continue for next five days.

He said that like every  festival,  the Dree festival is also an Agriculture festival and the respective tribal community has pray their god and goddess for the peace, prosperity of the people as well as bumper  harvesting and free from uneventful  like natural calamity and epidemic etc.

Inaugurating the food festival, Nachung and host of local and youth leaders of Naharlagun and Nirjuli tested the various local foods of Apatani Community.

There are all totals 8 food stall stalls while exhibition stall from Arunachal Legal Services Authority, Voluntary Blood donors organisation, Ajin Ape Artesian Weavers Coperative Society and others.   .

CCDFCC Chairman Er. Dani Gambo while interacting to media said that the biggest festival of Apatani community is being celebrated with great pomp and show every years with lots of funfair, games and sports like football, volleyball , badminton etc  also conducted, which was started from 14 June last and concluded today. But the local and traditional games and sports shall continue and would be completed on the final day on July 5.

He also inform that cultural competition, Mrs Dree and Fashion Show  shall continue and other activities which include.
