Itanagar : SUMAA demand unconditional release of It’s leaders

A dharna was organised by SUMAA supporters at IG Park demanding unconditional release of SUMAA General secretary Suraj Ligu and Convenor Tarh Rekam who were arrested by Capital police on July 24 last.

Both the leaders  have been arrested  for their alleged involvement in extortion, and on the detention order issued by the West Kameng deputy commissioner under Section 3(i) of the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014.

Demanding Justice for Tarh Rekam and Suraj Lingu, the elder brother of Rekam Tarh Gambo said  police has been detained illegally without any section under IPC to our brother. This two students has been fighting for indigenous right and against the Tibetan rehabilitation Policy-2014.

Raising voice against the Tibetan rehabilitation Policy-2014 the SUMAA team was organised a rally at Bomdila on 11 July last. And also a representation to deputy Commissioner of West Kameng District on the illegal ST, PRC holder of Tibetan Refugee and till 17 July there was no any complain or charge against SUMAA members. but after a meeting conducted by the four MLAs of the area a  complain letter was arrange against SUMAA to defame SUMAA. Gambo alleged.

Further, he also warns that if  arrested SUMAA leader will not release, the protest will be increase in future against .
