Itanagar:  Selection camp for Arunachal Cricket Team begins

Nearly fifty boys from across the state began trying out their luck for inclusion in the Under-23 Arunachal Pradesh cricket team at a ten-day trial cum selection camp that began at Indira Gandhi park here today.

The trial cum selection camp which was organized by Arunachal Cricket Association was inaugurated by ACA honorary secretary Tado Kholi.

He said “after a meeting of the Selection Committee the state team would be selected at the conclusion of the camp.”

The team will leave for the tournament in the third week of this month.. He added.

ACA Coach Kamsha Yangfo said “We have plans to stitch out a strong team for the tournament . There is no dearth of talented cricketers in the state. We will select the best among the aspirants,”.

ACA Coach , Treasurer and office secretary Raju Vals, Yab Lala and Vijay Kumar Sharma also spoke on the inauguration ceremony.

Senior players of ACA also attended the programme.
