Multifaceted damsel Osin Mosu, after being crowned Miss Arunachal-2017-18 on December 30 last, is scheduled to represent India during three-day 60th India International Garment Fair (IIGF) slated at New Delhi from January 16 next.

The IIGF is one of the Asia’s largest and most popular apparel and clothing trade shows and a perfect amalgamation of fashion, design and quality. It is the ultimate destination for global fashion buffs and textile industry giants. It brings together professionals and industry experts to share valuable experienced knowledge and innovative ideas to advance this sector in the world market. She thanked her internationally reputed choreographer Arup Banerjee for giving her this rare chance.

Born to Tapor Kotin Mosu and Mibom in West Siang district HQs Aalo, Osin is the eldest among her three off springs, her younger sister is pursuing diploma in civil engineering while youngest brother a class-XII student. The Tagin woman, who passed out class-XII from Aalo RK Mission is pursuing he BA (Education honours) from Shillong Union Christian College. In an exclusive interview to this daily today, she proved beyond doubt that Miss Arunachal was a “Brain not beauty show ” with ready reply for every question.

“I am willing to accept any offer for a good budgeted film with noted producer and director but in consultation with Arunachal Guild for Cultural Integration with whom I am on a year-long contract for my future career”, she said when asked will she accept film offer with Bollywood heading to Arunachal and a Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute is coming up at nearby Jote here?

Though I entered glamour show for the first time in my life, but I would concentre in my studies on priority and take keen interest in my extracurricular activities, she said without mincing any words when asked: What is next?

Walking straight at 5.5 feet, this smiling young Tagin girl, left speechless while enlisting her hobbies: A shutter to win 2nd prize in single’s badminton in college competition in 2016, adept in driving, singing and dancing, playing keyboard. She loves to remain always busy and  amidst family gathering but fascinated to experiment in cooking.

“My family, particularly parents,  is bedrock of my support who would not go against any of my positive wish,” she quipped when asked if her parents finalise her marriage now, with confidence lit large over her face.

Selected among 20 during audition on October 30 last, the 13-day  grooming till December 30 made a huge difference, she said adding the unexpected crown was amazing and lifelong memory. “Mein eshcrown ko bahut ijjat karti hun and bow down to my family members, friends, well-wishers and fans besides Miss Arunachal organsing committee chairman-cum-Minister Dr Mohash Chai, secretary Biri Kipa, overall in-charge Rokect and publicity secretary Dehnam Morang  for their whole hearted support,” she said with a twinkling eyes.

When asked why she had looked up after announcement that she was the winner, she admitted it to be a shocking surprise for which she  had thanked god for his blessings for her tremendous faith in him, though my parents, particularly mother, are next living gods.

“Our youth are highly talented but lack exposure and proper platforms. But they should have confidence in themselves, chalk out right paths, pursue with commitment. Self-confidence is key  to sure success,” she said about younger generation but sounded a louder  message:

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqdeer se pehle

Khuda bande se khud puchey: bata, teri razaa kya hai?

It would be worth mentioning here that, while responding to Dr Duyu Meena Mudang during jury round on “morality among present generation who prefer live-in-relation than marriage”, Osin’s clear concept – “One in live-in-relation ends up nowhere.  Man being the best creature should think about the future for which marriage is the only panacea – that won thousands of hearts evoking rapturous hurrah hurrah to send a louder message to GenNext Arunachalees.

Osin, borrowed from Japanese (Oshin), originated from Japanese drama series of the same name, but there famous people with this name, including British cinematographer Roam Osin and Russian football manager Yuri Osin. But she sounded more like Os(cea)in of

inquisitiveness without any air of her personality. This is but natural being Bharat ki beti.
