Itanagar:  Kaso inaugurates Link road at Barapani , school infrastructure work at Lekhi

Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso inaugurated the Infrastructure work for schools at Lekhi  and Link road at Barapani area which connect TAH Yupia road.

Itanagar local MLA Techi Kaso along with the DC Capital Prince Dhawan inaugurated the Infrastructure work for schools under Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY) falling under Naharlagun PWD Division at Govt. Middle School, Lekhi  and Link road at Barapani area which connect directly to TAH Yupia road.

Kaso informed that many initiatives have been taken to improve the educational scenario in the Capital Complex. There is also a proposal for a new G+ 3 building for Government Middle School, at Lekhi of which the tender process would be done soon and work to started accordingly.

The multi storied building of government Higher Secondary School, Kankar Nallah is under construction while proposal for Government Higher Secondary School, Ganga is approved and work to be done soon.

Proposals for upgradation of other schools which are also in the pipeline. He informed that the State Government is committed to improve the education system and sought cooperation of every individual specially the teachers and students whose contribution is prime to improve the education system.

The DC informed that under CMSSY, repair and maintenance is under process in all the schools of Capital Complex. Though infrastructure development is necessary, however it is the teacher and the students upon which the glory of the school lies, so the teachers should be the guiding force in a student’s life and the students should work hard to take to achieve in life, only then the name of the school would be truly glorified, stressed the DC.

Dhawan further added that the District Administration is doing its best to improve the overall condition of the schools. He also lauded the MLA who has also contributed a lot in the education sector.

The DC also informed that under CMSSY, training for 400 plus teachers were also conducted in collaboration with Azim Premji Foundation, Avanti Fellows, ALS IAS and various schools of Capital Complex. He also informed that earlier basic furniture items, whiteboards, water filters etc were also distributed to all the schools.

He assured that development of playground, construction of toilets and boundary wall etc as submitted in the memorandum would also be taken care in phase manner.

The DC also informed that the repair work of the road from Arun Subansiri to Mowb II and Gandhi Market will also start soon.

ADC Toko Babu EAC Naharlagun Rinchin Leta, PWD Naharlagun Division Executive Engineer Techi Nabu and CO Moyir Kato attended.

Earlier  Kaso along with the DC Prince Dhawan inaugurated the Link road from Barapani Colony to Yupia road Down Colony. The improvement works in the link road has been carried out with the initiative of the District Administration, Capital Complex through untied fund.

The link road will now connect Barapani colony to Down Colony Yupia making it convenient for the commuters and thereby reducing traffic on the NH-415 near the Yupia try junction.

The area also has high no of residents and with the inauguration of the link road, the residents would be highly benefited

Payi Gyadi, social Activist and resident of the area thanked the HMLA and the DC as the road was a long felt need of the area while the public of the area submitted a memorandum for carpeting of the said stretch of road which connect Yupia road to NH-415 near Sohum shoppee at Borpani.
