In a wake of the purported video doing rounds on social networking sites, Jarjum Ete, renowned social worker and general secretary of All India Mahila Congress Committee (AIMCC) on Thursday clarified that she never supported or endorsed on giving PRC to non APST in her address.

During press conference held at Press Club here, Ete said, “I have never endorsed issuing of PRC to Non-APST on the platform in Lekang or anywhere else. As a social worker I have always worked for the welfare and right of indigenous people and women empowerment for more than 30 years.” But it is very unfortunate that a controversy erupted wherein sections of the society are using un-parliamentary comments against me, criticising me for adopting a double standard on the issue, Ete expressed.

Jarjum also said that as a head of Mahila Congress she appeared for the Congress campaign at Lekang not with a purpose to hurt the interests of people of the state.
