Itanagar: DNGC Organises Marathon Race to Mark Vigilance Week

Principal Dr. N.T. Rikam flagged-off the race of 11 Kms for Boys and 6 Kms for Girls from Hollongi with finishing point at Jubilee Hall of the College. A total of 97 runners comprising of 58 boys and 41 girls took active participation.

The Games & Sports Committee of Dera Natung Govt. College, Itanagar (DNGC) today organized a marathon race for both boys and girls to mark the Vigilance Week with a theme “Run India Run, Health is Wealth”.

The race was organized as a part of the 40th Annual College Day Celebration- 2019 the College, which is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein on 4th November, 2019.

SP, Capital Complex Police, Mr. Tumme Amo, Traffic Police, and Medical team from Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun  successfully assisted the race.

Mr. Khyoda Mark, Mr. Heli Tana Tara, and Mr. Lingdum Mama of all BA 3rd Semester emerged in 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the boys category; while in the girls category, Ms. Biki Yatang, Ms. Ling Borang of BA 3rd Semester and Ms. Charu Meri of BA 1st Semester were adjudged in 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The prizes will be distributed on the valedictory function by the Home Minister, Bamang Felix, who will grace the event as Chief Guest scheduled to be held on 7th November 2019.
