Itanagar:  Dist Admin distributes Furniture to capital schools

As part of the effort of the Capital Administration to make the basic facilities available in schools, the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan today distributed basic requirements like bench, desks, blackboard, screen, computer, printers, projector, almirah etc to various schools of the Capital Complex at DK Convention Centre, IG Park Itanagar.

The DC stressed that to improve the quality of education it is necessary that schools have basic facilities available. Earlier, the team of officers from the Capital Complex were directed to visit every school and collect the list of necessary amenities required for the schools like bench/ desks etc.

However, the requirement was quite large and therefore we are selectively providing the items to cover every school so that no school is left out. The items have been managed through the DC’s Untied Fund.

During the programme, the DC stressed upon the importance of education and urged all the Principals,  Headmasters, teachers to dedicate themselves for the purpose for which they have been appointed.

He urged them to ensure that there is no compromise on the quality of education imparted upon the students.

The DC further reiterated his commitment to improve the overall education scenario and sought cooperation from everyone to revive the education system.

During the programme, the EAC Tame Yajum through a PPT briefed about the three newly launched schemes of education sector viz Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY), Acharya Dronacharya Gurukul Yojana and Chief Minister’s Adhunik Pathsala Yojana. She informed that all the three schemes aim to improve the overall quality of education.

The DC also urged the Principals,  headmasters,  teachers to be thorough with the objectives of the scheme and that the information regarding the same should be disseminated to the students. The details regarding the schemes are available on www.itanagar.nic.in

While talking to media Prince Dhawan said that  Government Secondary School Chimpu have been declared Model School and  it will be functional from this session and super thirty students will be selected from all capital complex through a selection process and the school is being developed so that the result and better output of the education is seen on the ground.
