Itanagar: Daria Hill can be develop as tourist destination- Nabam Rebia

Minister Environment, Forest and Land Management Nabam Rebia visited several hill’s top of capital complex to ascertain  the beauty of the state capital Itanagar from there.

Rebia alongwith team of officers from forest department, local resident,  GBs of Itanagar and Naharlagun and few senior citizens accompanied who went on day long trekking to Daria Hills via Borum covering a distance of around 15-20 Kilometre on Wednesday.

Rebia found that the Hill and forest is still virgin, but there is lack of wild animals. He also urge upon the land owners not to allow any hunters in the forest to venture who may even kill any remaining wild animals which need to be protected for a better environment as the life cycle are interlinked with the food chain and such extension of wild life may cause imbalance in nature.

After reaching the top of the Daria Hill Rebia while talking to Arunachal24 said that the state capital looks beautiful from this hill’s top.

Rebia said there are few places in the vicinity on the top of the hill which can be developed into a tourist destination in future as there are many people who wanted to visit nearby place to enjoy with mother nature and come back within same day and this place can be one of the best place for it.

He said that he would send a team of forest officer separately who will study in detail of several aspect of the area, forest and other activities and then he would write to district administration to study the aspect and scope for development of tourist site with all facilities in attachment with nature without destroying its natural aspect.
