In yet another breakthrough the capital police led by Itanagar SDPO Dekio Gumja, OC Itanaagr Tabi Bage, SI Giogi Tape and supervision of city SP Sagar Singh Kalsi have recovered a big cache of cannabis from the Itanagar township today.
SDPO Gumja informed that a total of 41.26 KG of cannabis has been recovered from different parts of the city during the week. Acting on a tip of, a raid was conducted at two Gumtis (shops) near Hotel Todo at A Sector in Itanagar and another at C Sector near Itafort. On Sunday also, a major cache of 28 Kg was seized from the possession of a man suspected by the police as being the main handler of cannabis peddling in and around the capital complex.
‘Till now 2 cases have been registered by the police in this regard’, SDPO Gumja informed adding that a lot of people are involved in the peddling of the banned substance, whom the city police is determined to bring to book soon.
