The office of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) located at C Sector, Itanagar is at the verge of collapse and threatening the life and property of the officials.
APWC Vice Chairperson Padamaswarii Jomoh and Member Rosy Taba when contacted said that the office is very unhygienic and it likely to collapse from is backside as the building is old and due to under construction of the four land road on its backside have created sever landslide and it in bad shape. Any untoward incident would be happened both added.
When contacted both said that the office is small & congested, the APSCW has requested for transfer temporarily office to some other place & build a 5 storey office with parking facility and have apprise the Minister Social Justice Empowerment and Tribal Affairs, Indigenous Affairs, Land Management, Environment & Forest Nabam Rebia who visited the building and area have assured to look into the matter on urgent basis. Minister has assured for full help & support, they added.
Capital Deputy Commissioner Incharge Talom Dupok while said that he will visit the office and after will issue necessary direction to vacate the premise if the situation warrant.
