Itanaga- Khandu issued Directive For New Market in Pasighat

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has issued directives to PCCF and Principal Secretary Environment and Forest, Government of Arunachal Pradesh to expedite the process of giving clearance for 30 hectares of land at Pasighat for construction of New Market at Green Belt area.

It may be recalled that during his recent visit to Pasighat, Khandu had announced to establish Pasighat new market to cater to the needs of emerging population and unemployed youths of the society.

As such, a delegation led by Pasighat MLA Kaling Moyong including Obang Dai, Osing Mengu, Abi Moyong, Okep Yomso and Oyem Dai called upon the CM today and formally submitted a memorandum in this regard. The delegation also informed the CM that the Bogong Banggo Kebang has donated 30 acres of land for the new market and sought his support in getting clearances from the Forest department and district administration.

Giving a patient hearing, the Chief Minister instructed the Chief Engineer cum Director Urban Development to immediately make project proposal for approval by the state government.

He also directed East Siang Deputy Commissioner to conduct a joint survey of the proposed area for expediting construction of the proposed new market. Khandu also spoke to PCCF and requested him to do expedite the process of giving forest clearances for the proposed site to pave way for its development.
