Indian Army, IAF and Navy’s joint press conference -LIVE UPDATE

The Army, Navy and the Indian Air Force (IAF) briefing the press for the first time amid tension between India and Pakistan.

The briefing comes a day after an IAF pilot was taken captive by Pakistan after aerial combat between Indian and Pakistani fighter planes for the first time in 48 years.

Pakistani bombs exploded in Indian military formation, but couldn’t inflict any damage

One Pakistani F-16 was shot down by an IAF MiG 21 Bison Aircraft. East of Rajouri, parts of F-16 have been recovered, inside Indian territory.

IAF has also learnt that Abhinandan will be returned. IAF is happy to hear of his return.

IAF fighters were tasked to intercept the intruding Pakistani aircraft and managed to thwart them. Although PAF jets dropped bombs, they were not able to cause any damage
