Heavy Rain Triggered Landslides and Floods in Arunachal

Due to the Heavy rain  over the past couple of days has triggered landslides and floods in several districts of Arunachal Pradesh throwing normal life out of gear. Several areas in Namsai District flooded as Noa-Dehing river overflows. The flood water inundates Mahadevpur-I, Mahadevpur-IV and Kakoni villages besides submerging paddy fields in Namsai district.

Flood in Jairampur

Same scene prevails in Changlang and Lohit district where all rivers are over flowing. It would take time for the authorities to restore normalcy in the affected areas. According to reports, the Durra Nala micro hydel project owned electricity lines have collapsed following heavy landslip. Several Places at Jairampur also inundated in flood water
