Heaps of garbage on road side, a question mark on Swachchata Abhiyan

Many locals have complained that from past few days the garbage liberates foul smell and it is uncomfortable to the passerby move for this area.

Heaps of garbage on the road is a common site at twin capital city, Itanagar and Naharlagun, which raised a question mark on success of Swachchata Abhiyan in capital complex .

Many locals have complained that from past few days the garbage liberates foul smell and it is uncomfortable to the passerby move for this area.

The  locals are facing difficulty to commute on the road,”Tadi Tako”, a local. The locals over here have informed the authorities concerned about the unattended garbage at the roadside but no action taken by the authorities yet.

There have been several post and comments in the social media against the huge deposition of garbage in several parts of capital and also urge upon the administration who are in the helm of affairs to immediately carry its best effort to make the city neat and clean.

It must be mention here that  “the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) visited some parts of the State Capital, Itanagar on 4th September 2019 to see the level of cleanliness in the public interest.  He was accompanied by concerned officers and Self Help Groups engaged in the cleanliness activities, the Governor visited the colony areas, main road, and parking areas.

The Governor, who personally carried out a month-long cleanliness drive in all the 30 Wards of Itanagar last year, appealed to the people to join hands to ensure that our homes, roads and areas area clean.
