Govt approved 2 Cr for RCC Building of Doimukh PS- Pani Taram

The government took  a decision and approved for construction of a first class RCC Police Station of Doimukh PS and two crore have been kept, said Parliamentary Secretary (Home & Education) Pani Taram.

Pani Taram alongwith SP Papum Pare Tumme Amo inspected the Police Station here and take a stock of the situation after the police Station was flooded by rain water and havoc was created following the flood fury.

Arunachal24.in had recently published a report about the flooded police station and how the staff were busy in draining off the flood water from the  campus.

Talking to arunachal24 Taram further  informed that ” we were supposed to start the tender works but due to shifting of construction agency from Police Housing to RWD it got delayed”.

However Taram accepted the facts that the infrastructure in many police station got old and today visiting the Doimukh PS as it was reportedly flooded by rain water from media and said that government have approved for construction of RCC Police Station and the process would be done shortly.

When asked about city surveillance system Taram said that surveillance system is a very important part in maintaining law and order and the capital city will be covered and a proposal have been sent to Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) government of India  of 36 crore and as and when approved the scheme will be implemented.

On non functioning of Kakoi and Mengio Police Station Taram said that there they been acute shortage of manpower and a shortage of more than 4200 police personnel as been reported so far but  government is cease of the problem and advertisement is being done in phase manner and more than 2900 police personnel right from constable to Dy. SP if recruited half of the problems of shortage of police would be reduced. Since the old strength is continuing in newly created PS due to which the strength is shortage and hope that the recruitment system is early completed Taram said.

He also said that he will take up the matter of posting of police personnel at Kakoi as it is located at Kakoi bordering Assam and will pursue the matter for functional of the PS at the earliest Taram added.
