Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed shock over the news of sudden and untimely demise of Late Anil Madhav Dave, sitting Union Minister for Environment and Forest and a veteran BJP leader, who breathed his last this morning.
In his condolence message to Secretary Environment, forest and Climate Change Ajay Narayan Jha, Khandu wrote “the two-time Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh, Late Anil Madhav Dave was known in BJP as a man gifted with immaculate organisational skills. Born on July 6, 1956, Late Anil Dave was involved in social work right from his early days and had founded an NGO “Narmada Samagra” for conservation of the river. A post-graduate in Commerce from Gujarati College in Indore, Late Shri Anil Madhav Dave had keen interest in literature and has penned a number of books.
He will be remembered for his zest for planning, promoting, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of environmental and forestry programmes in the country. His passion towards conservation and survey of flora and fauna of India, forests and other wilderness areas, prevention and control of pollution, afforestation, and land degradation mitigation will always be a hallmark of his contribution towards a green, healthy and carbon sink nation.
At this moment of grief, me, my family, colleagues in the Government and people of Arunachal Pradesh extend our solidarity with the country for losing a great leader and convey our deepest condolences. The vacuum that has been created by Late Anil Madhav Dave’s demise will remain for long.
I pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace” the message further added.
