Dy CM Chowna Mein chaired Namsai District BJP Meeting

The District Executive cum Coordination meeting of BJP was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein here on Friday. The meeting discussed taking the government schemes to the grassroots.

In his speech, DCM Mein said that there should be no differences among the party workers as now there are no old or new party workers and all are equal in the BJP fold and discipline should be maintained. The government formed now is stable and good and effective governance, development and security and transparency will be maintained in all forms, he added.

“It is a historic moment for all of us as we have now a strong BJP government formed under the dynamic leadership of Pema Khandu,” Mein said.

He highlighted the policies and programmes of his state government launched for the welfare of the people. He said efforts are on to bring the lights of development to the downtrodden people living in the lowest socio-economic strata and the under privileged.

Highlighting on the less cash transaction, Mein informed that the Govt at the centre and in the state is encouraging digital transactions and moving toward a less cash economy. He urged for conducting series of mass awareness programs to educate common people for cashless transaction through various methods by invoving Banks and NGOs.

He said that NABARD has consented to adopt a village in Namsai district for transforming it into complete cash less very soon. Digital Governance will be ensured in the state with 100% AADHAR with Direct Benefit Transfer including benefits under various welfare schemes.

He also said that the state govt is planning to provide an innovative budget for 2017-18 which would reflect the aspiration of the people. It would have priority for communication, Health, education, agri & allied sector, employment generation, entrepreneurship development with special focus on gender budgeting for women empowerment.

The State Govt is committed to take digital economy, transparent governance, decisive leadership and dialogue with the common men to win confidence of the people as envisaged by the National Executive and the Central Govt.

We stand committed by the decisions of our Central Leadership towards making of Modern India where modern technique, transparent governance and equitable society are the benchmark fulfilling the aim of ‘sabka saath – sabka vikas’, Mein said.

He sought people support during the meeting and also lauded the policy and programmes of the Narendra Modi led government.

Meanwhile, MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom informed the august gathering about the various issues and initiatives launched by the Narendra Modi government. He also read out the political resolution for transformative Governance –value based politics and dwelt on surgical strikes-zero tolerance to terrorism, Antyodaya, electoral victories, anti-people & anti-democracy opposition, electoral reforms, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Birth Centenary, other events and elections in five states of the country.

Earlier, District in charge Dominic Nich said that the BJP is a Party with a mission and the mission is to make India a great country realising its full potential in various fields – an India that draws inspirations from its heritage and yet is modern in its thinking tuned to the needs of changing times. The BJP wishes to work with the people of India with renewed vigour for the gigantic task of re-energising and repositioning India consistent with the mission and destiny of India as a nation.  The Party appeals to its workers to rededicate themselves in this large mission.

MLA Chongkham Chow Tewa Mein, former MLAs C.C.Singpho, Chow Pintika Namchoom, Bida Taku and Tasaso Yun, State Vice President K.Ringu, former commissioner Tape Bagra and many senior party leaders also spoke on the occasion.

During the meeting, Political resolution moved by MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom and Economic Resolution moved by Eastern Parliamentary Convenor C.C.Singpho were adopted. The political resolution was seconded by Chow Ambika Enling and Chow Wating Namchoom and the economic resolution was seconded by Chow Khunhong Hopak and Chow Naching Longchot.

Later, the Mandal Presidents of 46th Chongkham Chow Rupam Namchoom, 47th Namsai Chow Kengkham Choutang and 48th Lekang Basanto Deori submitted the reports of their respective constituencies.

The meeting was also attended by District President Chow Sujana Namchoom, Namsai Mandal President Chow Kenkham Choutang, and party workers from Chongkham, Namsai and Lekang.
