DGP Kicks off 6th state level veteran cup football tournament

Any games and sports are essential and supporting for a good health and physic with a sound mind-SBK Singh, DGP, Arunachal Pradesh. 


Director General of Police (DGP) SBK Singh today kicked off the 6th state level Veteran cup football tournament here at Rono ground amid huge gathering. Ten teams are taking part in this football tournament  which shall continue till January 25.

Addressing the gathering DGP Singh lauded the organisers for the noble idea wherein the players who have come across the young age are getting participation and can play for the team/club and can enjoy the game and charming of football. Any games and sports are essential and supporting for a good health and physic with a sound mind.

Singh said that organising of such games will encourage others in making one Arunachal and also guidance factor in maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood.

RGU, (HoD of Information Technology) Professor K H Kabi was guest of honour on the occasion who also address the gathering.

Papum Pare SP Tumme Amo, PTC DSP Dusu Kaling, Organising Chairman Toko Tatung, Organising Vice Chairman Tadar Baro among others sports lovers were present on the occasion.

Organising Secretary Tadar Rupu inform that there are ten team from different parts of state and they have been divided into Pool A and B, every team will have to play around 5 league match while there shall be two match every day. The semi final will be played on January  23 while final will be played on January 25.

The tournament is being organised by E & K in collaboration with Capital Complex Sporting Club (CCSC) under the aegis of  Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA).

The 1st match was played between Lava FC and PTC which was won by Lava FC by 1/0. Nabam Bapu of Jersey No-17 kick the decide goal of the match on the 1st match of the tournament at 69th minute. He was given away with main of the match cup by the organisers.
