DC Directs traffic police to maintain No parking at Bank Tinali

Capital complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan today directed the traffic police personnel to maintain no parking at Bank Tinali at any cost for free flow of traffic on the NH-415.
Dhawan today along with CO Likha Yach Debia, Traffic SI K B Chetry, Liaison office of DC office inspected the portion of road from LMV parking lots to Hotel Ane in Bank Tinali and find that without maintaining no parking it is difficult for free flow of traffic in the area.
Dhawan said that it is mandatory to implement No Parking already declared recently but not maintaining by the traffic police or by the general public.
We have inaugurated the parking lots twice so that the parking lots is being used by the general public but it seems that every body lease bother for it as they get sufficient parking on the road side which is source of traffic jam in Bnak Tinali whole day, so it was a decision taken by the district administration to use the parking lots for all and for the time being it will be free for all.
Dhawan said that due to lack of Toeing van it is difficult for traffic police to maintain and evacuate who do not adhere to the law and said that he will depute one Van for Itanagar and another for Naharlagun area and directed the traffic police as well as Warden to sincerely carryout their work so that the general public also appreciate their work and they understand the problem being faced on the road due to traffic jam. He also interacted with few local public and local shopkeepers of the area. He appeal for a behaviour change.
Dhawan said until Parking lot is being outsources or given on tender by IMC the parking lots will be free for all and appeal to maintain discipline in parking even in lots. He also said that the door of the lots shall be open in day and close in night as complaint have been received that it remain open even in night.
Later SP City Sagar Singh Kalsi also inspected the area and said that traffic menace can be solved only through public cooperation and traffic management and sincere approach of the traffic police and Wardens.
