Dambuk- Orange Festival of Adventure and Music from 15 December next

The 4th editions of Orange Festival of Adventure and Music (OFAM) will begin on 15th Decembers next at Dambuk village in Lower Dibang Valley’s District.

The festival backed by the Department of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh and has been included in the state calendar events.

Officially announcing the date of the Orange festival here today in a press club Festival Director Abu Tayeng inform that this time the committee decided to shift the venue of festival is to a real orange garden.

The four days festival will be  held from 15th-18th December and will continue to have thrilling adventure sports like river rafting, dirt biking, ATV rides in the forest and Favourite ziplinning. To add to the fun, local tribal sports like archery, angling, tribal house building, orange plucking and forest food walks are in store for the visitors. Or one could just cycle around the beautiful and serene valley.

The popular event of OFAM will be the JK Tyre Orange 4X4 Fury will also be back, This ultimate natural off roading event held in the dense rainforests of Arunachal Pradesh is unique for its challenges as it pits Man and Machine against mother nature’s fury. Top clubs from all over the country will be returning to challenge each other for the highest prize money on offer.

Also on offer is a dare devil stunt performance by Gourav Khatri, the country’s best free style show jumper on two wheels.

To cater to the younger generation of motorsports enthusiasts, for the first time ever in the North east OFAM will be holding the Orange Motocross Fury where the best motocross riders of the country will compete to win the coveted title.

OFAM has hosted a spectacular array of artists and bands over the years. From Grammy Award Nominees like Joseph Arthur and Lama Tashi to Legends of Rock like Yngwie Malmsteen, OFAM has managed to put together an extraordinary lineup of musical acts and this year will be no different.

This Edition will showcase some remarkable Indian talent like Thermal and a Quarter, The F16s, Fiddler’s Green, Uday Benegal, When Chai Met Toast, Feyago, Rain In Sahara and many more

Accentuating the festival will be the 7-time Grammy nominated German electronic band Tangerine Dream will be perform.

Alternative Rock fans will also have a treat at their hands with the inclusion of Five Eight. This epic band from Athens, Georgia have had ten album releases since 1992 and are the subject of an upcoming feature documentary, Weirdo: The Story Of Five Eight.

And last but definitely not the least is the headliner of OFAM: Richie Kotzen. From playing in legendary bands like Poison, Mr. Big and Winery Dogs to a prolific solo career, Richie Kotzen has always been in the limelight. For the first time ever in India this acclaimed guitarist-singer-songwriter triple threat will take stage and croon his iconic tunes leaving everyone enthralled. So, OFAM is THE festival for all adventure junkies and music lovers seeking a larger than life experience amidst a tranquil setting Tayeng added.

 The festival was conceptualised by Abu Tayeng a native of Dambuk, Arunachal Pradesh in 2014. The idea behind the festival was to bring people from all over the world to explore the untouched beauty and experience the exotic culture amidst a bunch of exciting activities.

Extent Motor driver Lakpa Tsering, and Event Advisor Sanjoy Mosing also address the media and said that we have sought suggestion on the last year celebration and certain paints raised are being considered like parking, and cost of eatable items.
