Arunachal Pradesh Chief minister Pema khandu appealed to the people of the state to remain cautious and alert in the backdrop of cyclone Mora to hit the region during the next few days.
Khandu wrote in his fb wall “We have received a warning from Met department that cyclone Mora accompanied by a thunderstorm and very heavy rainfall is likely to lash the Northeastern states including Arunachal on May 29, 30 and 31st.”
“I request people to take precaution and other preventive measures as the cyclone could trigger massive landslides and flash floods in the region. Directives have been served to the department of disaster management and the police force to stay on high alert to meet any eventualities. District administrations have also been alerted on similar lines.”
“I appeal my fellow citizens not to panic but maintain extreme caution during the next three days. Please avoid vulnerable places and restrain from venturing out during heavy rains. I pray the Almighty that nothing bad happens and the cyclone passes away eventually.”
