CS Satya Gopal flags off  “Rally of Arunachal”

The Chief Secretary Satya Gopal flagged off the ‘Rally of Arunachal’ which is Round 5 of the MRF Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI),  Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2017 here at State guest house, Niti Vihar on Wednesday. The Rally of Arunachal gets under way on Thursday morning.

“The department of Tourism is doing great job in promoting the state by bringing new tradition of motor sports. This will not only flourish tourism in the state beside can bring out the hidden talent among the passionate motor sports lover of the state. The sole motive of any rally is to promote, development, growth and move forward, he said.”

Gaurav Gill the three time champion of Arunachal Pradesh Rally Championship (APRC) hope to reassert his supremacy as Round of 5 of the FMSCI, INRC, Rally of Arunachal as it gets under way on Thursday. “I have been the winner of last year Arunachal Festival of Speed (AFS) and this time its INRC which will be participating by the best drivers from across the country. I hope this time it has more speed, fun and breath taking task as we travel to Ziro valley, Gaurav said.”

President Motorsports Club OF Arunachal (MCA) Lhakpa Tsering told that, “The people have a negative impact  to road condition of our state. So we are trying to bring a positive change in thought by bringing motor sports in the state.”

MCA is to promote adventurous potential which is abundant in the state in every aspect. We also have eight participants from Northeast and Four from the state which is really encouraging for the young talents. We hope the numbers local participant’s increases in the days to come. In the meantime we thank the department of Arunachal Pradesh Tourism for being the title sponsor of the rally and the added sponsors, he added.

Ziro-Hapoli MLA Tage Taki, ITBP (frontier Hq) IGP M. S. Rawat, Secretary to CM Sonam Combay, Secretary (Tourism) Dr. Joram Beda, officials of Tourism department and high ranking police and civil officers were present during the flagged off ceremony.
