Communal harmony is key to unity in diversity said Superintendent  of Police Papum Pare district Tumme Amo while chairing the 2nd meeting of the District Nagrik Bhaichara Samiti at SP office Yupia today.

Amo emphasized participation of some doctors, advocate, government servants etc and asked the members to suggest name of such willing persons. Bringing the main purpose of holding the said meeting, He suggested to visit schools by the members. During the visit, the members should interact with the students on the evils of drug abuse, rash driving, mischief’s, thefts, elopement by underaged students, and other social evils.

He also stated that bookish knowledge on Maths, Science, History, Geography, languages, etc are not enough for nation building without sense of morality, honesty, sincerity, patriotism, etc and members should educate the students and youths on such topics also.

SP, Yupia directed OC PS Doimukh to detail personnel to regulate the traffic by allowing only one side parking and earmark No Parking zone by putting board etc.

All the Officers-in-charge have been directed to conduct surprise checking and to take stern action against those who organise illegal dice game. All officers-in –charge to submit an action taken report in this regard.

Ex ZPM Kimin Bamang Yayu suggested for deployment of police personnels in Kakoi to check nuisance in the river side by the outsiders.

Playing of dice and Replacing of CCTV at Check Gate was also discussed.

Police officer from all parts of district, intellectuals and members concern from Tarasso, Kimin, Doimukh, Yupia and other paces attended the meeting which end with positive note of unity through brotherhood and communal harmony.

The Naharlagun branch of Nagrik Bhaichara Samiti was held on November 14 under the chairman ship of SDPO Make Bui and discussed various issue relating to police cooperation, traffic and other  social issue.

Meanwhile the Itanagar unit of the Nagrik Baichara samity shall have its sitting on November 16 under the chairmanship of Capital SP Sagar Singh Kalsi in which members, advisors, social workers, activist and professional will present their views and suggestion need to be taken up in the state capital for a better place to live with dignity, respect, peace and tranquillity and maintenance of communal harmony and brotherhood.
