CM Pema Khandu Visits Yingkion, Lays foundation stone of Circuit House

Chief Minister Pema Khandu today landed in Yinkiong and was accorded a rousing reception by hundreds of school children, gaon burahs, ponung party, men and women dressed in their traditional Adi and Memba attire.

Rural Development Minister, who is also the local MLA,  Alo Libang led the reception for the visiting dignitaries that also included Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, State BJP President Tapir Gao and Commissioner PWD B Pertin.

Geku-Mariyang MLA Olom Panyang, former Minister Roding Pertin including BJP party officials and workers were also present in the reception ceremony.

The Chief Minister upon his arrival laid the foundation stone for the circuit house here.

There after he paid a visit to the Gandhi bridge – a 300 metre steel cable suspension bridge connecting various circle and sub-division headquarters under Upper Siang district situated on both the banks of Siang river.

The Chief Minister inspected the construction of the motorable suspension bridge, which is being executed by the PWD department. The project that started in March 2006 will be completed by this month, informed Deputy Commissioner Duly Kamduk.
