CM Pema Khandu visits Ramoji Film City, expresses willingness to work together to help film enthusiasts of state

Chief Minister Pema Khandu today visited the Ramoji Film City, the world’s largest integrated film studio complex. He also met Ramoji Rao, head of the Ramoji Group which owns the Ramoji Film City.

In his brief interaction with Ramoji, the Chief Minister discussed the film institute that has recently opened up in Arunachal and expressed his willingness to work together to help film enthusiasts in the state.

Ramoji also conveyed to the Chief Minister his interest to work for the North-eastern states, especially in the local dialects.

The Chief Minister accompanied by State BJP President Tapir Gao, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, WRD Minister Kamlung Mossang along with others toured the 2000 acre Film City that is covered with hills, gardens, lakes, and flanked by spotless modern buildings and offers film pre-production, production, and post-production resources for over 500 settings, including hi-tech laboratories.

The Chief Minister along with his party and Minister colleagues took a bus ride to tour the sprawling campus of Film City. The team toured along Princess Street, an avenue lined up with tall buildings resembling European streets including North town resembling a North Indian cityscape. They also visited the simulations of a hospital, railway station, central jail, airport etc including the set for “Bhagavatam”.

The tour concluded with a visit to birds park which houses a variety of exotic bird species.
